Our university’s intercollegiate volleyball competition recently kicked off, with a team of international students from diverse countries—including Brazil, Japan, and Kenya—adding intense excitement and cross-cultural charm to the event. As enthusiastic participants, they showcased not only athletic talent but also the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship.
Donning customized team jerseys, the international students competed fiercely against Chinese peers in every match. From precise serves and agile blocks to coordinated spikes and quick defenses, they demonstrated rigorous training and seamless cooperation. Even when facing strong opponents, they remained resilient, cheering each other on and adjusting strategies promptly. Off the court, they exchanged high-fives with rivals, sharing laughter and compliments, perfectly embodying the motto "friendship first, competition second."
Teachers from the International Student Office and fellow students came to cheer them on, creating a lively atmosphere. Many international players shared that the competition helped them integrate into campus life faster, make Chinese friends, and experience the joy of collective effort. This event not only enriched the campus sports culture but also built a bridge for cross-cultural communication through the universal language of sports.
Their passionate participation and positive attitude left a deep impression on everyone, proving that sports can transcend borders and connect hearts.
