To create a favorable atmosphere of family harmony and happiness, respond to the national call of "Building Happy Families and Harmonious Society," and jointly construct a harmonious school-family environment on the occasion of the 31st International Day of Families on May 15th, the Youth League Committee of the School of Information Engineering carried out a themed activity for the International Day of Families on the first floor of the east campus cafeteria.
International students listened carefully to the volunteers' introduction to the painting of the Chinese intangible cultural heritage lacquer. They actively participated in making silk fans and lacquer paintings, from which they perceived the extensive and profound nature and infinite connotations of Chinese culture. An international student who had finished making a silk fan said, "This activity not only allowed me to experience the unique charm of Chinese culture in person but also enabled me to have a deeper understanding and recognition of China with its rich cultural heritage." He continued, "I hope there will be more opportunities to get in touch with and learn about outstanding traditional Chinese culture in the future."
The successful holding of this series of theme activities for the International Day of Families has not only enabled students to have a deeper understanding and recognition of the family, promoted the healthy development of the family as a basic social unit, but also enhanced the sense of family happiness among the youth.
